546 FIREARMS CONFISCATED IN NUEVA ECIJA
The Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office has showcased to the media four hundred fifty six (456) confiscated/recovered/surrendered high and low powered firearms on a press conference presided by PCSUPT WENDY ROSARIO, DRDA, PRO3 and the concurrent Task Group Commander RSOTG Nueva Ecija with the newly designated Provincial Director of Nueva Ecija‘s Police Provincial Office PSSUPT CRIZALDO O NIEVES on January 16, 2013 @11:00 o’clock in the morning. Based on the record, Nueva Ecija has a baseline of 12, 830 expired, unrenewed, revoke and wanted firearms from 10, 806 gun owners. Those gun owners were 1oo% accounted and has been visited through the implementation of Oplan Katok.
ANTI-ILLEGAL DRUG CAMPAIGN
On February 12, 2013 at about 11:00 AM, joint elements of PCISOG Team, NEPPO-PPSC and Talavera PS under the direct supervision of PSI DENVER P GUZMAN, PSI RODOLFO RACHO JR and PSUPT GODFREDO K TUL-O, with the over-all guidance and control of PSSUPT CRIZALDO O NIEVES, PD NEPPO, implemented a said search warrant at the premises of JUN VERDE y PESTANO a.k.a. JON-JON, 36 years old, single, resident of Barangay Bakal II, Talavera, NE for Violation of RA 9165. The search yielded positive result and recovered six (6) pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) with approximate weight of 12.06 grams, one (1) piece of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected Dried marijuana leaves with approximate weight of 0.90 grams, drug paraphernalia, and two (2) units of nokia cellular phone allegedly being used in illegal drug transactions. A case for Violation of Sec. 11 and 12, Art. 2 of RA 9165 is now undergoing trial at RTC Branch 89 with Docket No. CC No. SD (13)-2878 to 79.
CAMPAIGN AGAINST ILLEGAL MANUFACTURERS/TRADERS/POSSESSION OF FIREARMS
On February 28, 2012 at about 12:15 PM, NEPPO launched a buy-bust operation of illegally manufactured firearm against Henry A San Juan at Purok Camia 2, Brgy. Mayapyap Norte, Cabanatuan City. Confiscated from the suspect were six (6) pieces of caliber 38 revolver, marked money amounting to four thousand pesos (Php 4,000.00), and two (2) units of nokia cellular phones. After the successful conduct of buy-bust, NUEVA ECIJA-Regional Special Operation Task Group headed by PSUPT GODFREDO TUL-O, together with Provincial Counter-Intelligence Special Operation Group (PCISOG), Regional Intelligence Unit 3 (RIU3), NEPPO-Provincial Public Safety Company (PPSC) and Cabanatuan City Police Station (CCPS), all under the direct supervision and control of PSSUPT CRIZALDO O NIEVES, PD NEPPO, immediately proceeded with the implementation of Search Warrant at about 1:00 PM, at the residence of Jocelyn Espiritu y San Juan which was located adjacent to the shop where Henry San Juan was arrested. The implementation of Search warrant resulted in the recovery of the following items: one (1) Colt caliber 45 without serial number, one (1) Kimar Cal. 8MM without serial number, five (5)homemade Cal. 22 revolvers, two (2) homemade magnum 22 revolvers, one (1) homemade cal. 38 revolver, ten (10) homemade cal. 22 rifles, six (6) magazine assemblies for cal. 45, seven (7) magazine assemblies for cal. 9mm, three (3) magazine assemblies for magnum 22, three (3) homemade magazine assemblies for cal. carbine rifle, assorted live ammunitions: ten (10) pcs for caliber 380, five (5) pcs. cal. 22, four (4) pcs cal .45, four (4) pcs cal .38, one (1) pc super .38, one (1) pc M14 rifle and two (2) pcs for M16 rifle, sixty four (64) pcs of empty shells for cal. 45, cal .38 and cal. 22, one (1) carbine rifle with serial number Z481 with magazine assembly loaded with nine (9) live ammunitions, seven (7) pcs of assorted barrels for short firearm, four (4) pcs cyclinder tube and its buffers for m16 rifle, assorted spare parts and accessories for rifles and short firearms, three (3) units of electric drill press machines, one (1) unit engraver machine, three (3) units press grips, one (1) portable grinder, two (2) portable drills, a dozen of iron saw, three hundred (300) pcs of used iron saw blades, one hundred sixteen (116) pcs assorted iron files, three (3) vernell calipers, ten (10) kls links for M13, four (4) round bars, three (3) demils/empty for 60 caliber, three (3) demils/empty for 80 caliber and two (2) rifle grenades. Corresponding criminal complaint for Violation of RA 8294 and Violation of Comelec Resolution 9561-A was filed against HENRY SAN JUAN y ALFONSO at Cabanatuan City Prosecutor’s Office docketed under IS NR III-05-INQ-13C-00135 to 36, respectively. Likewise, Jocelyn Espiritu being the owner of the premises was charged for Violation of RA 8294 and RA 9516 (An act amending the provisions of PD 1866 , codifying the laws on illegal/unlawful possession, manufacture, dealing in, acquisition or disposition of firearms, ammunition or explosives or instruments used in the manufacture of firearms, ammunition or explosives, and imposing stiffer penalties for certain violations thereof, and for other relevant purposes) was filed at Prosecutor’s Office of Cabanatuan City docketed with number IS NR. III-05-INQ-13-C-00138, while the arrested seven (7) personalities from Cebu were also subjected for inquest proceeding for Violation of RA 8294. The police operation resulted to the arrest of the following persons identified as: 1.) RENELITO BOYNO y RILLOSA, 29 years old, married, 2.) RAMIL CAPUTE y SACAYAN, 21 years old, single, 3.) ROWEL BUENO y SACAYAN, 21 years old, single, all residents of Brgy Taboc, Hagnaya, Carmen, Cebu, 4.) JONATHAN MATUGAS y CAPUYAN, 39 years old, married, resident of Brgy Cahumayan, Danao City, 5.) RICKY CAPUTE y SAKAYAN, 37 years old, single, resident of No. 150, Timobo, Cabungahan, Danao City, 6.) JACKILOU SARONA y LUGAS, 25 years old, single, resident of Manlayag, Danao City and 7.) GILBERT MANZO y CAPUTE, 19 years old, single, resident of Hagnaya, Carmen, Cebu City. Subject persons were caught in the act of manufacturing homemade firearms inside the house of Ms. Jocelyn Espiritu. Accordingly, they all revealed that they came from Cebu province a month ago and they were hired by the suspect to make firearms. .
Marijuana Plants eradication
On March 21, 2013 at about 8:30 AM, teams of NEPPO-PCISOG led by PCI JULIUS CEAZAR A MANUCDOC, PSI RODEL E MARITANA, PSI DENVER P GUZMAN, PSI RANNY G CASILLA; together with 2nd Maneuver Company of 3RD RPSB led by PCI DENNIS C WENCESLAO; NEPPO-PPSC PI JOEY A CABATIN, and; Carranglan MPS led by PSI JOSEPH R STA CRUZ, COP, under over-all supervision and control of PSSUPT CRIZALDO O NIEVES, OIC, NEPPO, conducted Marijuana Plants eradication at the hillside located at Sitio Calbelo, Brgy. Piut, Carranglan, Nueva Ecija with an estimated area of more or less one hundred fifty square meters (150 sqm) of Marijuana Plantation. The operation resulted to the uprooting of One Thousand One Hundred Fourteen (1,114) pieces of assorted fully grown and seedlings of Marijuana Plants. However, the steward of marijuana plantation was unidentified as the property was classified as public land.
NR 7 MOST WANTED PERSON IN MUNOZ CITY ARRESTED
On April 29, 2012, at around 2:00 o’ clock in the evening, elements of Muñoz PS under the direct supervision of PSUPT PETER N NABOYE, implemented OPLAN Manhunt Charlie that resulted in the arrest of one DOMINADOR ASUNCION y FERRER @ TAMANG, 42 years old, married, and a resident of Purok maligaya 2, Brgy Poblacion North, Muñoz, N.E.by virtue of Warrant of Arrest dated April 28, 2008 issued by Honorable Anarica J. Castillo-Reyes, RTC, Branch 88, Baloc, Sto. Domingo, Nueva Ecija for the Crime of RAPE in relation to RA 7610 in Criminal Case Number SD (05)-1089. No bail is recommended. Subject person is listed Number 7 in the List of Most Wanted Person in Muñoz. Said accused is temporarily detained at Muñoz PS detention facility for proper disposition.
ILLEGAL SAWN LUMBER CONFISCATED BY LAUR PNP
On May 7, 2012, at about 10:15 in the evening, elements of Laur PS led by SPO3 Ruel Capinpin y Bala under the supervision of PSI ANGELITO D RAMOS while conducting mobile patrol in Brgy Siclong ,Laur Nueva Ecija were able to flag down a hand tractor operated by Dennis Vegiga y Gaspar, 22 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Sitio Camuning, Brgy. San Vicente, Laur, N.E loaded with twelve (12) pieces of un-estimated board feet of illegally cut sawn lumber in assorted sizes. Arrested suspect, confiscated sawn lumber and the hand tractor were brought to Laur PS for proper disposition. A criminal complaint for Violation of PD 705 is being prepared against the suspect for filing at the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office, Cabanatuan City.
On June 06, 2012 3:00 o’clock in the morning, elements from Carranglan Police station led by PSI JOSEPH R STA CRUZ, OIC Carranglan PS together with the personnel from 81IB Phil Army base at Sitio Tactac Brgy Puncan municipality of Carranglan conducted prophylactic patrolling from Sitio Loyloy, Brgy Piut Carranglan, Nueva Ecija. On same date at about 6:00 in the morning, upon conducting prophylactic patrol, accidentally discovered a marijuana plantation in a vacant lot near the riverbank at Sitio Sabado night approximately five (500) hundred fully grown marijuana plants ready for market and more or less sixty (60) kilos of dried marijuana leaves amounting to Two million eight hundred thousand pesos (2.8 million) market value.Immediately thereafter, the operating troops cordoned the said area and right away the undersigned coordinated with the PDEA and same time called the attention of Brgy Piut Chairman Antonio De Vera, Mr Jun jun Sy Field reporter GMA7, and Mr Woody Domingo DOJ representative to witness the physical inventory of the said illegal drugs. Likewise, At about 4:00 PM same date, elements from Regional Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Force (RAIDSOTF) and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) headed by PDEA Region 3 Director Roybel M Sanchez arrived at the said area and joined the recovery and seizure of said fully grown marijuana plants and dried leaves together with the media, Brgy Officials and DOJ representative.
